The sharp and narrow tooth profile as well as the rounded slanted edges support the chain guide. To provide the best possible performance even on muddy terrain, the x-sync chainrings have recesses to remove dirt and mud for the inner chain links and rollers. The X-sync chainrings made in Germany are an important part of the 1x drive of Sram.
